Rear Engine Tube Chasis Racer

This is an owner built street/track car. All tube chassis with a 500 hp turbo charged Mitsubishi engine in back.

A very neat design. We made the body for it. Starting with a rendering, we wire framed the chassis until the owner and we like the look. Most of the body panel arcade from .063 aluminum.

The flat side panels are .040 aluminum. The panels were made to bolt together and bolt to the tube chassis with collers. It was finished off in neon green and semi gloss black. All together the body weights in at only around 200 lbs. This thing is a rocket.
