What started as fixing a few small issues on a “finished” vehicle turned in to a full build. The truck sits on a modified S-10 frame with Accu-Air air suspension and a custom 4 link rear. Its powered by a supercharged LS engine and 4 speed automatic that also runs an engine driven compressor to maintain air pressure for the suspension. Fluids for the engine are held in custom made tanks that mount on the firewall, utilizing space that is usually empty and giving easy access for servicing.
To match the proportions of the S-10 chassis, we shortened the front and rear fenders as well as the bed of the truck. The top has been chopped and material has been removed from the roof skin to give it a sleeker appearance. The hood is completely hand made to be shorter, lower, and tighter to the engine. Both front and rear bumpers are pieced together from multiple cars. The bumperettes house running lights in the front and the exhaust tips in the rear. We raised the floor of the bed to clear the suspension and built in tie down hooks so the owner can use the truck to haul around one of his custom motorcycles.
Inside the floor of the truck has been dropped down and the toe boards pushed forward to make the truck much roomier than stock, even with the chop and low ride height. Seating, interior panels, and lower dash are all custom made for this truck. It’ll have a/c, power windows, a huge stereo, heated seats, cruise control, bluetooth, and ride height control all within reach of the driver for the ultimate long distance cruiser.
We are in talks with several companies to debut this truck at SEMA this year.
